Kansas Agribusiness Expo, November 18-19, 2009

The USCP attended the Kansas Agribusiness Expo, in Wichita, Kan. November 18-19, 2009. Western Field Services Director, Dusti Fritz, was on hand to discuss the checkoff with producers. The Expo is the premier event and tradeshow for members of the Kansas Grain and Feed and Agribusiness Retailers Associations. Dusti said she had great discussions with a number of handlers and ethanol plants at the show. Her discussion with ethanol plant managers seemed to focus on the need for data evaluating correlation between test weights and starch content. She reported that several companies are running tests to evaluate this correlation and there is already some preliminary data being evaluated.
