Spicy Sorghum Margarita

A spicy twist on the classic margarita, featuring jalapeño heat balanced with sweet sorghum syrup and fresh lime.

Ingredients
- Tajín or chili-salt for rim
- 2–3 slices fresh jalapeño
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz sorghum syrup
- 2 oz blanco tequila
- 3/4 oz orange liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
- Ice
- Lime wedge or jalapeño slice, for garnish
Instructions
- Rub a lime wedge around the edge of a rocks glass and dip in Tajín or chili-salt. Set aside.
- In a shaker, muddle the jalapeño slices with lime juice and sorghum syrup.
- Add tequila, orange liqueur and a handful of ice. Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds.
- Strain into the rimmed rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Fine strain if you prefer a smoother sip.
- Top with a lime wedge, twist or a floating jalapeño slice.
