Popped Sorghum Popper Recipe

1/2 - 1 cup

Sorghum Form

Popped Whole Grain


  • 2 teaspoons oil of choice
  • 1/2 cup whole grain sorghum
  • Salt or seasoning of choice


  1. Put oil and sorghum into a "whirly popper" on high heat. Stir kernels.
  2. Continue stirring quickly until kernels stop popping. Listen carefully!
  3. Pour onto sheet pan or into large bowl to cool.
  4. Separate popped kernels from unpopped, if desired.
  5. Sprinkle lightly with salt or toppings of choice.
